W.festo's book of the month: we <3 Crystal Renn

Crystal Renn's book Hungry:A Young Model's Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves

Renn's autobiography about life as plus sized beauty came out in Sept, but we declare this fabulous book W.festo's book of the month!! I have my copy on reserve at the library as we speak and will be blogging about it asap...
Soooo, I read in New York Mag. everyone's least favorite R&B abuser singer C.Brown has released a new album

"go head lil mama, I can transform ya" - Transform Ya by Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne

Wow, Chris Brown, what a PR move. A new song fantasizing about a submissive woman. Lovely.
Granted, this song is accompanied by another entitled Changed Man on his new album Grafitti, a little ditty about how Chris
"don’t wanna be done
I’m doing all that I can"
... done with the relationship, or your career? Becuase the whole song seems like a whiney plea for people to move on from the domestic violence charges. With lyrics like "And everybody hates Chris, They can never understand" the song plays out like impudent risistance to taking responsibility for his actions, and a (continued) underlying assertion that he did nothing wrong.

Yes Chris, everyone hates you. And no, we can't understand... there's no excuse for abuse, Chrissy. Not even for a hip-hop mega star like yourself.

www.nikrichieisachauvinist.com

Since all of America seems over Megan Fox, I am forfeiting that article in favor of a much more interesting discovery:
Have you witnessed The Dirty?

I wanna talk about this guy^Nik Richie.
He's the type of guy that would flick paper into your hair from the back row in high school chem.

He takes all the progress women have made in the past 100 years, gives that a boob job (or as Nik loving refers to breast enhancement (+2...sizes I suppose)) and puts it into a Titled Kilt waitress costume. The whole site is an extensive collection of photographs of scantily clad women and boys with spikier hair than N*Sync era JT doing keg stands. Richie then proceeds to comment on the pictures tell whether he "would" or "wouldn't" which we can all assume means "have sex with." Interestingly enough, Richie simply claims he is just providing a forum for what people want to post, for the "dirt" and gossip audience want to waste their time reading.

Not only misogynistic but racist (Richie claims Asian's "smell like noodles" and Latinos/Latinas "smell like tacos") as well, Richie's hostile commentary makes him far from a provider of an open foreum for conversation. Rather, Richie fuels a site of slanderous, cruel, and often lewd images and comments. What do you think of Nik's The Dirty (aka Foe of Feminism and the Downfall of Productive, Intelligent Life as we Know It)? Post Below :)
